Current Season (2022-2023)

Before November 1st

Before November 1st a lot of brainstorming about our intake system took place. After brainstorming, we changed to chains and gears with the arm design. Attached is the robot arm to the base, and got the robot moving. After testing the robot, we re-designed the robot for stability since the arm was much too thin.

November 9th

After testing, the team decided to change the arm into a linear system. With some brainstorming, they came up with a concept and built the new system. After finishing the first concept the system is able to reach the medium junction. The second thing that the team is working on is finishing the second part of the linear system, and debating on what to use for the main mechanical part of the system. The last thing is the team is designing the intake system that works with the linear system.

Past Seasons (2021-2022)

November 11

1. Completed about 90% of the assembly of the robot after collaborating with Alan, and connected cables to the control hub, robot testing needed.

2. Still need to use the 3D printer to print the last component for the robot arm.

3. Communicated with the programming group, they will start the robot programming work at the next meeting.

November 8 & 9

1. Builder Group 1 installed the wheels on the drive train, one more motor needed to be installed.

2. Completed the 3D modeling of the robotic arm parts with Alan.

3. Completed robot arm parts except 3D print parts

4. After discussing with Ray, who is in charge of strategy, I noticed that an expansion hub can be used in competition. After testing by programmers, we confirmed that the old expansion hub can be used for new robots.
